2. Specific Data Processing Purposes
Personal data gathered through the web application and REST API is processed strictly for the following purposes:
- Identity authentication via facial biometrics and document verification.
- Corporate standing checks against Chambers of Commerce (RUES) registries.
- Issuing Digital Signature Certificates through accredited certification authorities (Viafirma / ONAC Accreditation 24-ECD-001).
- Electronic billing and payment gateway transaction management (Wompi).
- Technical support and certificate lifecycle notifications.
3. Processing of Sensitive Data (Facial Biometrics)
To meet DIAN and ONAC standards for digital signatures, MATICERTS processes facial biometric data (dynamic liveness detection) and national ID scans powered by MetaMap.
Biometric data is encrypted in transit and at rest on AWS cloud infrastructure and is never sold, shared, or used for secondary purposes.
4. Data Subject Rights (Habeas Data)
Data subjects hold the rights established in Article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012, including:
- Access: Access personal data free of charge.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete records.
- Erasure: Request data deletion when statutory principles are breached (subject to digital certificate audit retention laws).
